About Me

I’m a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and the founder of VQ Psychology Services, which I established in 2020 in response to a growing need I was seeing in my work: families seeking timely, compassionate psychological support from someone who truly understands the challenges they’re facing.

Mission of VQ Psychology

VQ Psychology was created to offer thoughtful, evidence-based care that empowers children, young people, and their families to navigate life’s difficulties with greater confidence, connection, and emotional well-being.

My Experience

With over 20 years of experience, I’ve worked across a wide range of settings, including NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), neurodevelopmental teams, paediatric clinical health teams, and specialist schools supporting young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

Current Roles & Involvement

Alongside my independent work, I’m a Clinical Psychologist at Little Journey—a digital health company supporting children and families through healthcare experiences using evidence-based, child-centred approaches. I also serve as a Trustee of the PANS PANDAS UK Charity, helping to raise awareness, improve early diagnosis, and advocate for better support for children and families affected by these conditions.

My Approach to Psychological Support

Collaboration is at the heart of my work, and I draw on my creative strengths to make psychological support more engaging and accessible. I’m especially passionate about developing resources that help families understand and navigate challenges in gentle, relatable ways. I also value contributing to wider conversations about children’s wellbeing—through writing, consultation, and media involvement. Most recently, I co-hosted a podcast series, exploring the lived experiences of parents navigating healthcare with their child.

These roles reflect my commitment to making psychological care accessible, empowering, and meaningful for the families I work with. I am continually inspired by the strength, courage, and resilience of the families I support, and it’s a privilege to walk alongside them on their journey.

Personal Reflection

As a parent, I understand both the joys and challenges of raising a child. Outside of work, I gain relaxation from being in nature—whether through walks in the woods or paddles on the river. I also love being creative - baking and creating things with others, and have discovered a new found passion in having fun with others at concerts. These experiences shape the compassionate, grounded approach I bring to my clinical work.
