Sessions are currently held online via a secure telehealth platform. This works much like face-to-face therapy, but with the added benefit of accessing support from the comfort of your own home. I use interactive and developmentally appropriate approaches to help children engage meaningfully during online sessions.
For online sessions, all you’ll need is:
A private, quiet space
A computer, tablet, or phone with a webcam
A stable internet connection
Sessions are confidential and securely delivered to ensure your privacy and safety.
In some cases, face-to-face or walking sessions can be arranged at a location in Warwickshire. Please feel free to get in touch to discuss what might work best for you and your child.
Please refer to VQ Psychology Services Terms and Conditions for further details.

Initial Chat / Correspondence
I offer a free 15-minute phone call or email correspondence to discuss your concerns and explore whether this service feels like the right fit for you and your child — before any sessions are arranged.Initial Assessment – £120
The initial assessment is a 55-minute session and typically involves your child too — although this may vary depending on their age and the nature of the presenting concerns. We’ll discuss this during the initial conversation. This session helps us begin to understand what’s going on, and to explore how we might work together to support your child and family.Therapy Sessions – £120 per session
Ongoing therapy sessions are also 55 minutes in length and are tailored to your child’s individual needs. We’ll regularly review progress and adapt our approach based on what is most helpful.Optional Clinical Summary Letter – £120
If you would like a written clinical summary following the initial assessment (including presenting concerns, psychological formulation, and recommendations), this can be provided for an additional fee. -
The number of sessions recommended will vary depending on individual needs — whether support is for your child, for you as a parent, or a combination of both.
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Some families benefit from just a few sessions focused on a specific concern, while others may prefer longer-term support. Sessions are always tailored to what’s most helpful for you and your child.
We’ll regularly review progress together to ensure the support remains effective and aligned with your goals.

As a Clinical Psychologist, my approach focuses on reducing psychological distress and promoting emotional well-being. I work holistically, offering therapeutic support with empathy, compassion, and collaboration — always without judgment.
Therapy begins with a comprehensive assessment, followed by a joint formulation. This is a shared understanding of how difficulties may have developed, what’s maintaining them, and what can help bring about meaningful change. It may include exploring past experiences, identifying strengths, and outlining steps toward feeling better and moving forward.
The type of therapy I use depends on several factors, including your goals, the nature of the difficulties, and evidence-based guidance such as that from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). Common approaches I draw on include:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): CBT helps explore how thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviours are linked. It aims to break negative cycles and develop more helpful, balanced ways of thinking and responding.
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT): CFT supports the development of self-compassion and emotional regulation. It helps people understand patterns of self-criticism or shame and respond more kindly to their inner experiences using mindfulness and imagery techniques.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): This goal-oriented approach focuses on building solutions rather than analysing problems. It draws on your existing strengths and resources to help create meaningful change, often in a brief time frame.
Narrative Therapy: Narrative therapy views people as separate from their problems and emphasises the power of personal stories. Together, we explore alternative narratives that align more closely with your values and hopes.
